Driftbox Data from
our bikes and cars at the track.
We currently sponsor two motorcycles and
one Dirt Modified car and
have GPS telemetry data from the slow bike
at Infineon
Raceway and Thunderhill Raceway.
The device we use to record the data is a
Driftbox by Racelogic, UK. They have
recently released a less expensive version
without some drift data recorders called the
Performance Box.

Some or all files will say they need to be
repaired. as far as I can tell, that is a
bug, but it won't hurt to run the repair
routine on them. The software takes a little
playing with. One useful shortcut is Ctrl-F
to return to the full map or chart.
Also, the export to google map is very cool.
The recording is not exact as you can tell
from lap after lap of data, but it is being
collected every 10th of a second, so it's
pretty good. Let's see - at 120 mph, that's
every 17.6 ft, so at 90,60,30 mph, its 13.2,
8.8, 4.4ft. better than a sharp stick in the
eye.
